Memorial Day 2013

We spend the weekend in Kansas City, Missouri, with Vipers baseball team. Played Friday night at 9:15 PM, two games on Saturday and one game Sunday night. We were able to sneak in a Royals game on Sunday too, which was so much fun for all of us, kids and parents. Happy to be home though, and getting ready for THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!

Another try...

BJ played basketball this year with a great group of boys from his school and had a lot of fun. Amazingly, the the glasses made it through the entire season in one piece! Now we are on to baseball! In January, Toph and the other class representatives/board members were invited to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the school board meeting. They did a nice job and it was a lot of fun to see all the community members in attendance who support our kiddos. And lastly, I'll end this post with a delightful pic from Christmas 2012 -

Forgot how to do this?

I think it has been over 3 three years or so since I've posted on this blog. Couldn't even remember my username/password. But I'm going to give it another try! It has been heartwarming and heartbreaking to scroll through the posts on this blog. Where did my sweet little boys go? In just three years it seems the boys have gone through a time warp. I'm going to try to post this, and cross my fingers that it posts! I'm a little rusty!

Notice the clever little fella turning the page that he decided not to read, and then look up at me to see my reaction!!! Then he realizes as he tries to read that next page that it no longer makes sense b/c he skipped the page before:) I turned the camera off and we reread both skipped pages, then he picked up again.

Winter Parade - 25 degrees outside

These pictures are in reverse chronological order. Meaning, for those of you who know 6th Street, this first picture with the moon was actually taken after the parade and on our way back to BJ's school.













The first of a handful of pics from our town's Winter Parade last night. 25 degrees was cold!!!! But much fun was had by all. You wouldn't believe the folks aligning the parade route (Main Street) to participate and pick up a little candy. So fun. BJ is on the float that his school decorated. Really fun b/c many, many former students (now in elementary school, etc.) joined us. They met first at MDS for some cocoa before the parade started.

Those of you who have been to visit us can just imagine the sight/experience of this trailor creeping up the 6th street slope!!!!

Thanksgiving Feast at BJ's school yesterday. Sarah and Charles will recognize CJ's good friend Dylan:) The other little fella is BJ's good friend, who moved here less than a year ago from Arizona:)
