The boys and I had a much different experience this year coloring our eggs without daddy here (busy with work obligations) to share his technique and energy AND without the family that seems to have surrounded us in years past. The boys did have a great deal of fun coloring and recoloring the eggs though. We did pure vinegar, not sure if we were supposed to add water to the dye and vinegar solution. The colors were pretty strong! You can see the newly painted yellow walls behind the boys.

Beautiful eggs! I do think you are supposed to dilute the vinegar. However, your result is perfect. How do they taste? Do you know they call Easter, Paas in Holland?
When did you paint the walls and did you do the LR, too? They are warm looking, probably good for all the snow outside. Is your igloo still outside? I couldn't see it in the photo.
How fun! What do you use to paint them? I see a crayon in one of these pics. Is that how y'all did it on all of them? Something for us to look forward to next year.
We only used crayon on the two where we wrote the boys' names and then on a couple more. The boys enjoyed seeing how the different colors would change the existing egg color. Totally science!
Yes, we painted the living room, breakfast nook, entry room by front door, and hallway to boys' rooms. It looks very nice. Can't wait for you to see it!
